Amar Sagoo
Amar Sagoo is White Oak Recovery Center’s Head Nurse Practitioner. Amar’s impressive academic resume started at California State University, Northridge, where she earned a Bachelor of Biology (BS) and a Master in Business Administration (MBA). At West Coast University, Amar graduated Cum Lauda with her Bachelor in Nursing (BSN) and registered nurse license, followed by time at Herzing University in Wisconsin, where she graduated with honors and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
After 15 years of working behind the scenes in biotechnology, Amar transitioned to the front lines of healthcare, spending five years in urgent care settings. During her time in general healthcare, Amar realized how critical genuine care and empathy are for people struggling with substance use disorders and chose to specialize in addiction treatment. Living by her motto of “if you are successful, I am successful,” she prides herself on providing comfort, understanding, and guidance for people through some of their most difficult moments.
Amar credits her love of travel and spending time with family for keeping her grounded and mindful of the most precious things in life.
